One of the uncertified members of the 15xx family, the 1520 runs on the same 19,800 vph base as its siblings. In catalogue terms it belongs to the Air-King, and that is the association collectors have kept.

Short history

Like the 1500, the 1520 went into references that did not carry the "Superlative Chronometer" marking kept for calibres such as the 1560 and the 1570, while the base architecture and the build quality stayed the same. The Air-King, positioned as the plainer and more affordable end of the Oyster Perpetual catalogue, is the reference most closely tied to this movement.
