The Constellation Day-Date ran on this calibre — the chronometer-certified version of the 750, with day of the week, quickset date and 24 jewels. That model remains one of the most sought-after automatic Omegas of the late 1960s and the 1970s.

Short history

The 751 stayed in the catalogue for close to nine years, into the mid-1970s, when the quartz crisis began hitting Swiss mechanical watchmaking hard. It drove the Constellation Day-Date in references such as the 168.018 and the 168.029, part of the line Omega presented as the most accurate it made.
