Calibre 30T2 PC — the 30T2 with Incabloc protection

In brief

By around 1943 the 30T2 had gained Incabloc shock protection for the balance staff, and with it a new designation. Everything else stayed as it was — 15 jewels, 18,000 vibrations an hour, the same family architecture — and shock protection would soon be standard across post-war Swiss production.

Short history

This variant sits at about 1943, between the original 30T2 and the 1949 renumbering that produced the calibres 260 and 280. Adding Incabloc here set the standard Omega kept in both branches of the family, sub-seconds and centre seconds, right through to 1963, when the line was withdrawn.
