Calibre 267 — a straight variant of the 266

In brief

Take the caseback off a 267 and what you are looking at is a 266: the same 17 jewels, the same antimagnetic construction, the same 18,000 vph, in the same generation of the sub-seconds branch of the 30 mm family.

Short history

The two are all but indistinguishable — same architecture, same jewel count, same resistance to magnetism. Both belong to the settling-down phase that followed the 1949 renumbering in the sub-seconds branch, before the balance and hairspring changes that arrived with the 268 and the 269.
