Calibre 265 — antimagnetic, with Incabloc

In brief

Omega built this one for watches meant to be worn every day rather than for the chronometer-minded versions of the 26x series. The jewel count drops back to the 15 of the original 260, but the movement gains antimagnetic protection and Incabloc shock settings.

Short history

It ran alongside the 261, the 262 and the 266 in the same generation of the sub-seconds branch, all of them products of the 1949 renumbering. Pairing antimagnetic protection and Incabloc with only 15 jewels makes it the plainer, sturdier option next to the 17-jewel variants of the same family.
