Calibre 262 — chronometer version with eccentric regulator

In brief

An eccentric regulator is what sets the 262 apart. The 17 jewels and the antimagnetic construction come straight from the 261; the regulator lets the rate be adjusted far more finely, the sort of refinement Omega kept for the more chronometer-minded members of the 26x series.

Short history

The 1949 renumbering placed it in the sub-seconds branch of the 30T2 family, next to the 261. Its eccentric regulator marks it out as the fine-adjustment variant, in keeping with the pursuit of precision that ran through Omega's work in those years.
