Calibre 260 — the 30T2 renumbered in 1949

Nothing mechanical changed when the 30T2 PC became the 260. The specification stayed exactly where it was — 15 jewels, 18,000 vph, shock protection — and only the number moved, in the 1949 overhaul of Omega's calibre nomenclature.

Short history

Omega renumbered the whole 30T2 family in 1949, and the 260 is what came out of that exercise in the sub-seconds branch, the 26x series. It is one of the few calibres in the family with a documented service manual, and it shares its design and most of its parts with the rest of the 26x line.
