Same mid-1970s revision as the 1020, same family: the 1021 is an Omega 10xx automatic with a date, beating at the high 28,800 vph rate the whole generation was built around.

Short history

Development of the 10xx family ran from 1970 to 1972, replacing the 550/560 automatics of the previous decade. The headline change was frequency — 28,800 vibrations per hour against the 19,800 vph of the calibres it succeeded, which on paper meant a better rate. Quartz arrived in the same window, and the brand's response was to keep good mechanical watches on the shelves at prices its flagship models never reached.
