In brief
No date, no calendar work under the dial. The 2452 is one of the earliest automatics in ETA's 24xx family, plain and dependable, and it went into mid-range Swiss watches for a good part of the twentieth century.
Short history
Without a date module, the 2452 is the simplest version of the 24xx family, which is why it tends to be treated as the starting point of the line — the base from which the 2472 came, with its date, and much later the 2824-2.
